Ground meat with brown gravy is a very tasty recipe. This is a great recipe that is hearty and will satisfy any hungry appetite as well as a fast go to recipe to serve to your family on a busy day. It's very easy to make and you probably have all the ingredients you need.
Big and small kids alike will just love it.
Ingredients needed for this recipe
- 1 pound ground chuck meat
- 1 cup water
- 1 oz packet of brown gravy mix
- 1 tablespoon gravy master (adds browning and seasonings)
- Measure cup
- spatula
- large non-stick skillet
Preparation and cooking
Add ground chuck
Add the ground chuck meat into a non-stick skillet over a medium heat. Use a spatula to crumble up the ground chuck into small pieces. DO NOT ADD ANY OIL TO THE SKILLET; the ground chuck will produce its own juices.
Eliminate excess grease
Once the ground chuck meat is thoroughly browned, remove the browned meat and place on a plate with a paper towel to eliminate some of the grease before continuing with the remaining recipe.
Add remaining ingredients
After the meat is drained, place the browned meat back into a clean non-stick skillet. While stirring, add 1 cup of water, add the brown gravy mix and 1 tablespoon of gravy master; once the gravy has thicken, reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
To serve, place the Ground meat and gravy over mashed potatoes or elbow macaroni. If you prefer to cut out the starch, use a veggie of your choice, like green beans or asparagus.
Bon Appetite!
Enjoy!
